After a long winter’s break, the monkeys are back to bring you the 29th installment of the Portland Ten Minute Play Festival!

The Portland 10MPF is an event MWHAO produces at least once a year. We feature new plays written, directed and performed by Portland artists - with a live musical act, Junglecorp, performing in-between each play! Every play is ten minutes or less and all of the plays are performed every performance night. It's a very fun, well attended event and there is nothing else like it in the city. We are theater for everybody: never turning away audience members for lack of funds and we have an open-door policy where anyone can submit a play or try out to be involved. These are your stories, Portland!

In the Phoenix 10MPF, you will experience: the power of a beloved family pet, when your roommate is the literal worst, the pressure of capitalism on love, when the government tries to clip your wings, when art stops imitating and begins transforming life, the cost of being the giver in a relationship and how hot revealing your darkest secrets can be.

This play festival will feature music from the awesome local musical act, Junglecorp - with their new, Phoenix-themed rock opera story performed in-between each of the plays. The story is called "Phoenix Court" - A magical court case between a phoenix and a leprechaun fighting for custody of their child Goosie.

Junglecorp leaves audience members thoroughly entertained and they are excited to grace the Monkey stage for THEIR LAST PLAY FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE. Check out their music for previous play festivals, fun videos and connect with them at junglecorp.org

The Phoenix Ten Minute Play Festival will run about 2.5 hours with a 15 minute intermission.
