This is NOT a Western! features a pair of one-act plays performed back-to-back, with The Band With No Name, a country-western duo, playing in between the plays.
The performance opens with The Cowboy written by Patrick Holland. This piece is narrated by The Cowboy who strolls us down the stories of Linda, Kim and Amanda's seemingly disconnected deaths. What ties these three strangers together? Saddle up and let the cowboy tell the tale.
The feature of the night is Brown written by Cherie Vogelstein. Brown follows Peter in his interview at Pane-Luger, an advertising agency run by young up-and-comers. The boss, Ira, throws Peter through the ringer with the help of his two closest workers: the virtuous Mary and the animated Maurie. Just how far will Pete go to get the job?
